INBA is offering up to four $1225 scholarships this year. The money can be used toward the cost of books, tuition or other expenses to be incurred while enrolled as a full-time student or to cover living expenses during an internship at a radio or television station serving an Illinois market. The deadline for applications has passed. Finalists must be interviewed on Friday, April 15th at the INBA Spring 2011 Convention. The convention is at the Holiday Inn, in Rock Island, Illinois. Scholarship winners will be invited to stay through the convention as our guests for the weekend. Semi-finalists are encouraged to stay for the convention but at their own expense.
INBA is now accepting entries for the annual SINBA awards. We'll be honoring student excellence in electronic journalism in 2010-- and this year, for the first time, entries may be submitted entirely online! The entry deadline is Friday, March 11, 2011.
