She's reported and anchored at several Central Illinois television and radio stations and now Maria Henneberry will run the newsroom at WJBC-AM in Bloomington. Henneberry was hired to replace Terry James, and will oversee a staff that includes Eric Stock, INBA Board Member Adam Studzinski and several part-timers, including Greg Halbleib, Bryan Bloodworth and Patrick Baron. Henneberry was a reporter at WMBD-TV, covering Bloomington-Normal news, and later the anchor of what started as a Bloomington-focused 9pm newscast on WYZZ-TV. She has worked previously at WJBC and also Cities 92 radio. She has taught an advanced broadcast reporting class at ISU, her alma mater. She is also co-owner of Contemporary Visuals, a video production service, and most recently started Taproot Core Media, a communication consulting business. She was National Chair of the Association for Women in Communications in 2013-14. She also has a background as a musician and circus performer, which likely will help in her new role!
