INBAers attend Tompkins Workshops
The Poynter Institute's Al Tompkins conducted workshops on Wednesday, June 6, in Normal. About 20 members, plus several other radio and TV journalists, attended sessions on Tighter Writing, Fighting Fake News and What Every Journalist Should Know About Guns and Ammo. INBA Attorney Don Craven answered questions about Freedom of Information and Cameras in the Courtroom. And retired CBS News correspondent Bill Plante spoke about the challenges in covering the White House, Vietnam and Civil Rights.
