INBA Returns to Springfield!

–Utilizing Social Networking to Report
–Investigative Reporting on a Shoestring Budget
–Opinion Journalism: Walking the Line
–Behind the Scenes, a session for producers
–Finding the “Best in People” at your workplace.
Convention organizers are also working on a tour of the Illinois Capitol. Days and times for these sessions TBA.

Saturday Night Banquet
CBS Radio News Correspondent Peter King will be our keynote speaker on Saturday.
We’ll also hold our annual Scholarship Auction during the Saturday night dinner. Proceeds go to the INBA Foundation, which provides scholarships to college students studying electronic journalism in Illinois.
We’re looking for items for the auction– no item is too big or too small! Contact auction chair Dave Dahl at ddahl@irnradionet.com.
Hotel
The convention will be held at the newly-renovated State House Inn, located directly across the street from the State Capitol. INBA has negotiated a competitive $91/night (plus tax) room rate for convention attendees.
The Route 66 Mother Road Festival is going on that same weekend, so make your reservations as soon as possible. The State House Inn offers an array of complimentary amenities, such as in-room high speed internet access, parking, and a full American breakfast buffet daily.
