Sandra Torres Returns to Chicago TV
Former INBA Board Member Sandra Torres will be back on the air in Chicago next week; the broadcast journalist has been hired as a General Assignment Reporter at CBS2 Chicago. Torres has been an MMJ at WDJT in Milwaukee since 2012, and has anchored a nightly newscast in Spanish for Telemundo Wisconsin. Before that, she was a content producer at Chicago's WMAQ and did reporting and fill-in anchoring for Telemundo Chicago. Torres is a native of Cali, Columbia, who moved to the Chicago suburbs when she was 13. She attended Illinois State University, where she worked extensively with the TV-10 program, and did an internship at WMBD-TV in Peoria.
She initially joined INBA as a student and then was elected to the Board of Directors in 2011. She chaired the Professional Development Committee and organized a business reporting seminar in Chicago.
Her brother, Sebastian, also a graduate of the Illinois State University TV-10 program, is a photographer at Telemundo Chicago.
